Hick: More positives to Sun City than written

Posted

Having lived in Sun City since 2004, I have seen and heard much that is good and some not so good.

I have noticed that last few months that we seem to have a lot of WCBM going on. Also, that the said letters seem to be much too long. We get it that they don’t like trains, planes, automobiles, music on the driveway our representatives and senators and basically our way of life not meeting their standards.

Well, we don’t like those who feed the dirty pigeons, the javalinas, motorcycles, screaming at night on Bell Road, people who complain of the “noise” of the trains, the planes and now people (mostly) who think we should cowtow to them.

The trains and planes were here first. If you don’t like it there are several choices — learn to deal with noise as they aren’t going anywhere, continue to upset yourselves by complaining or move to another community.

We know you (Independent) must represent the community, but we don’t need a “book” every week. Sun City is a great community.

The other 99% who also live here know what issues were here and that with more move-ins in the Valley that change could happen. The object is to adapt and enjoy our community, not to move in and complain the community is not up to your standards.

Please, if you are not happy here, find a place that will make you happy.
