Golf group celebrates annual chili cook-off

The sixth annual Roadrunners Golf Group chili cook-off was April 9 at the home of Robert and Choi Ludka.

There were nine chili entries and Linda Hardy took first place, receiving a metal plaque.

About 50 people were in attendance and there was a table of hors d’oeuvres and a choice of chili, from mild to hot, along with numerous toppings.

The Ludka’s backyard has hundreds of flowers and plants and a number of hummingbirds; stone pathways wind around the entire yard enabling one to see all of the plants and unique yard art.

After dinner was entertainment featuring a concert of 1960s and ‘70s folk/rock music by the Dos Boomers, Mike Golden and Jeff Skaggs.
