Evan Kobley, president of the Arizona State Children of the American Revolution, spoke to a virtual meeting of Estrella Chapter D.A.R. March 11. He is currently involved in C.A.R.’s project “Celebrating Our Symphony,” which covers three key topics: history, healing and hope.

Evan received his inspiration from being descended from Arthur Judson, an artist manager and promoter of all things musical.

He also spoke of the healing aspects of music and the effects of music on patients suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. Patients receive healing visits from members of the Phoenix Symphony and C.A.R. project’s will raise funds for various symphonies throughout Arizona, help with the restoration project of Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C. and commemorating Beethoven’s 250th birthday.

Children of the American Revolution is an organization whose members are descended from participants of the Revolutionary War and is the oldest and largest patriotic youth organization.  Membership is offered to anyone under the age of 22 who is lineally descended from someone who served in the Continental Army or gave material aid to the cause of freedom.
