Sun City DAR chapter makes flag donation

Sun City’s National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Agua Fria Chapter, made their annual donation of a POW-MIA flag to RCSC General Manager Bill Cook and RCSC President Dale Lehrer at the Bell Center, next to the Liberty Bell.

The flag flies below the United States of America flag as a reminder of America’s unreturned Veterans.

Sept. 16 was National POW/MIA Recognition Day, which was established in 1979 by the 39th U.S. President James “Jimmy” Carter, via presidential proclamation establishing the third Friday of every September to be set aside to remember and honor all missing U.S. veterans from various wars; 1,556 Vietnam War service members are still missing.
