The concert series at Lord of Life Lutheran Church 13724 Meeker Blvd., presents the Desert Winds Steel Orchestra 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2.

This orchestra is a large ensemble steel band, which started as an eight-member steel band back in the fall of 1997 and has grown to more than 15 members.

Their repertoire includes Latin and pop songs and an array of island tunes that will create an atmosphere of joy regardless of the setting in which they play.

No tickets are required, though a freewill offering will be accepted.
