The Rockin’ Blue Geckos perform 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 at The Speakeasy, 10745 Grand Ave.
Their sound of classic country, rock and Americana features a lineup of Dennis Madden (guitar, lead vocals), Dennis Preisler (drums), Dan Spencer (bass, backing vocals), Lee Poole (harmonica) and Rob Spindler (lead guitar, vocals).
The Geckos perform an array of musical styles from country classics by Johnny Cash and Hank Williams to classic rock by Van Morrison and Creedence Clearwater Revival featuring songs like “I Got My Mojo Workin’,” “Mustang Sally” and “Flip, Flop and Fly.” Folk and blues are covered with the works of Bob Dylan, Muddy Waters, and Sonny Boy Williamson.
The band members have completed more than 400 public performances since 1995 throughout the Valley and in Tucson, Prescott, Cave Creek, Sedona, Denver and Washington D.C.
