Artists by the Lake celebrated the beginning of summer with an outdoor pizza party on the patio of the Lakeview center in Sun City.

The club will operate on limited hours for the summer; Artists by the Lake will be open 9 a.m.-noon Monday-Friday unless there is an afternoon class or special event scheduled. Members can access the room at any time.

Classes will continue all summer in painting. Drawing classes will start again in August. Individuals must have a valid RCSC card to join the club and pay $10 in a check to Artists by the Lake; pay at the club located on the second floor of the Lakeview center, 10626 Thunderbird Road.

The club’s painting challenge, “All About Water,” can be viewed in the cases outside the room and residents can vote for their favorite; put your rec card number on the back of the ballot. Ballots will be tallied at the end of August.
