Artists by the Lake ‘falls’ into Fall Challenge

Members of Artists by the Lake recently hung their fall painting challenge “Fall into Fall!” in its outside display cases at the Lakeview center art room.
The public is invited to check out the representations by these local artists. Each member was challenged to create a fall scene. The results are as varied and individual as the members.
The club is accepting new members for 2023. Dues are $10 a year for anyone with a valid RCSC card.
November Classes have also begun. On Mondays, there is a class with Marlene Bonneville in colored pencil, 9 a.m.-noon, and on Tuesdays, 9 a.m.-noon, there is Drawing with Malcolm Blazer. Wednesdays features Advanced Oil and Acrylic with Malcolm Blazer 9 a.m.-noon and a water color class taught by Aileen Garvey in the afternoon. A class for any level acrylic and oil is taught by Aileen Garvey and Georgia Feiste 1-4 p.m. Thursdays.
Classes are an extra fee and one must be a member to take a class. These classes will continue in December with the possible addition of pastel class.
Members will also display their paintings at the Fall Festival, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Nov. 25 and 26, at The Sundial Recreation Center, 14801 N. 103rd Ave., in the Yoga Room.
Artists by the Lake meets 9 a.m.-noon Thursdays. Everyone brings their supplies and works on individual projects, sharing ideas and supporting others.
