2022 Witches Ride makes donation to Benevilla

Posted

With about 260 golf cars and bicycles in the 2022 Witches Ride for Charity, $11,320 was raised for Benevilla.

Head Witch Anna Gorman extended a huge thank you to all the witches who donated.

It was a frightful site seeing all the decorated cars, the stunning witch’s regalia, the parade through the streets and all the spectators along the route. Then came the picnic, live music provided by Still Above Ground and, of course, the highlight being the haunting witch’s dance.

It takes a special community to make a fundraiser of this scale a success. Gorman and the witches on all the committees worked hard to ensure that success.

Benevilla set up the registration site and countless other marketing materials while Sun City West clubs supported and enhanced the event. The Posse and Rec Center staff worked to assure a safe ride and celebration.

Before the brooms were hung in the closet, a new Head Witch was named. Annie Miller stepped forward to take on the mantle for the 2023 Witches Charity Ride. She’ll need support and volunteers to make the 2023 fundraiser another memorable event.

The Photography West Club will be presenting the 2022 Witches Ride with pictures and video taken at the event.
