Ready-to-drink beverage celebration at Riverview Park

Arizona event promotion company Forty8 Live! is inviting adults ages 21 and over to pop-a-top, soak up the sun and celebrate cool-in-a-can at the state’s first Canacopia.

The event on Saturday, Sept. 10, which celebrates ready-to-drink canned beverages, will feature hundreds of canned spirits, wine, seltzer and craft beers by suppliers from across the country. Guests will enjoy a live performance by multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning artist, DJ and producer Zedd, according to a release.

“Canacopia is all about taking a leap of faith, embracing the unknown and experiencing something new,” David Horen, director of events at Forty8 Live!, said in the release. “Attendees can ease out of their comfort zone with great music, make some memories, and discover their next favorite drink from the hundreds available.”

The event will be held from 3 to 10 p.m. at Mesa’s Riverview Park, 2100 W Rio Salado Parkway. Activations included with each ticket range from zip lining above the action to a BMX and skateboard half pipe show. Cooling amenities like shade and misters will keep Canacopia attendees comfortable and in the moment. VIP ticket holders will have access to an exclusive catered food experience by celebrity chef Aaron May, private bars, shaded areas with misters, standing pit access in front of the stage, and air-conditioned restroom trailers.

“We know Canacopia will be a boon for local beverage distributors looking to introduce their tasty products to a wider audience,” Mike O’Donnell, director of partnerships at Forty8 Live!, said in the release. “It’s not just an event for the public to sip and enjoy; it’s a chance to stimulate Arizona’s economy and spotlight RTD’s.”

Zedd, the headlining DJ for the event, collaborated with Selena Gomez on the platinum-certified track, “I Want You To Know,” which spent four weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. His work with Alessia Cara on their hit single “Stay” amassed over 4.2 billion streams worldwide, held the number one spot at Top 40 radio for six consecutive weeks and earned Zedd his second Grammy Award nomination. Zedd’s collaboration with Maren Morris and Grey on the hit “The Middle” earned Zedd his second chart-topping position at Top 40 radio. Digitally, “The Middle” has over 3.5 billion streams worldwide, leading to Zedd earning three Grammy nominations including “Record Of The Year,” “Song Of The Year,” and “Best Pop Duo or Group Performance.”

Three tiers of ticket pricing are available with general admission starting at $68 online, which includes a free beverage sample card (12 samples) or $48 for an event-only ticket that does not include a sample card. VIP tickets are $220 and available for purchase online-only at Forty8Live.com/CANACOPIA. Ticket prices are subject to increase prior to event.
