The Salvation Army Glendale Corps Community Center is looking for giving volunteers this holiday season to help at Christmas Angel Trees.

“We are blessed with the opportunity to bring smiles and happiness to over 2,000 children this year with our Christmas Angel program,” Salvation Army Glendale Corps Officer Major David Oh shared in a news release. “We welcome any volunteers in the community that wish to help us spread the joy of the holiday season through this wonderful program.”

Volunteers are needed to create tags, pick up purchased gifts, and sort and prepare gifts for distribution Dec. 19-21. There are also opportunities for businesses to get involved by sponsoring a group of children or having a Christmas Angel tree at their location.

Interested Christmas Angel volunteers in Glendale area are encouraged to contact Major Ellen Oh at 623-934-0469 or Ellen.Oh@usw.salvationarmy.org.

Some Arizona families wonder how they are going to provide gifts under the Christmas tree for their child or children. That is where The Salvation Army Christmas Angel program comes in.

The generosity of Arizonans has helped grow the program to bring joy to more than 50,000 Arizona children annually over the last 35 years.

“We are grateful for our Angel Tree hosts at Arrowhead Towne Center, five local Walmart Supercenters, and Glendale Community College for their support,” Oh stated.

The Salvation Army Glendale Corps Community Center is located at 6010 W. Northern Ave.
