Veteran Resource Rally Point is March 14 in Peoria

Veterans, active-duty military members and their family members have an upcoming event in Peoria to look out for.

U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (AZ-08) announced the Veteran Resource Rally Point will occur at 8 a.m.-noon Saturday, March 14.

The event is at Rio Vista Recreation Center, 8866 W. Thunderbird Road, Peoria. A special ceremony is at 9:30 a.m.

Ms. Lesko’s Veteran Resource Rally Point will feature accredited Veteran Benefit Counselors and is open to all Active Duty U.S. Military, Reservists and National Guard service members, veterans and their family members in Arizona’s Eighth Congressional District.

Interested Active Duty U.S. Military, Reservists and National Guard service members, veterans and their family members may register online by visiting www.az08veteranresourcefair.eventbrite.com. The event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited.

The Veteran Resource Rally Point will feature two workshops:

8:15-9:15 a.m.– Claims Clinic: How to File for Disability Benefits and the Appeals Process

10:30-11:30 a.m.– Understanding the Veteran/Survivor Pension Program and Caregiver Benefits

Representatives from each of the following resources will also be available:
