Update: Scottsdale shooter’s name released by police officials

The second subject in a Jan. 10 afternoon shooting altercation, which police officials say stems from road rage, is 27-year-old Scottsdale resident Andre Hall.

Mr. Hall reportedly shot 42-year-old Nathan Lindman after the two subjects became involved in a road rage incident in the area of 114th Street and Jenan Drive in Scottsdale, around 1 p.m. Jan. 10.

Mr. Lindman later died due to the injuries sustained from the gun shot, police say.

The investigation is still ongoing, but police officials believe Mr. Hall to be the victim of the incident.

Mr. Hall reportedly left the scene of the road rage incident and returned to his residence at 11545 N. Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard. Mr. Hall was followed back to that location by the other subject, Mr. Lindman, police say.

A verbal altercation between the two men ensued in the parking lot, police say.

During the altercation, Mr. Lindman reached into a bag, police say. Mr. Hall, fearing Mr. Lindman was reaching for a firearm, drew his weapon and shot striking Mr. Lindman.

Mr. Lindman then drove out of the complex where he collided with another vehicle, police say.

Arriving officers contacted him and provided first aide until fire personnel arrived on scene.

Mr. Lindman was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased as a result of the gunshot injury, police say.

“The Scottsdale Police Department is actively working this open investigation,” Scottsdale PD Spokesman Kevin Watts said in a Jan. 12 press release. “Upon completion of the investigation, the case will be submitted to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office for a charging decision. It will be up to the county attorney’s office to determine what, if any charges, should be brought.”
