Queen Creek residents looking to get their Torchy’s Tacos fix won’t have to wait much longer.

The Austin, Texas-based Torchy’s Tacos, known for its “Damn Good Tacos” and green chile queso, is opening its third restaurant in Arizona and its first in Queen Creek at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 21386 S. Ellsworth Loop Road.

Torchy’s Tacos has two locations in Phoenix.

To kick off its grand opening, Torchy’s Tacos will be offering the first 100 guests in line a limited-edition Torchy’s restaurant opening T-shirt, which will provide them with a year of free green chile queso each time they wear it to the Queen Creek location. There will be a limit of one free queso per day with any purchase.

“2022 was a great year for us in terms of expansion and we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to continue growing in the great state of Arizona,” stated founder and CEO of Torchy’s Tacos Mike Rypka in a press release.

The Queen Creek location has a 4,501-square-foot dining room, as well as a 500-square foot outdoor patio where guests can enjoy a wide selection of tacos, queso and margaritas all hand-crafted and made to order.

Highlights of the Queen Creek Torchy’s Tacos menu include:

  • Torchy’s taco creations served on fresh, house-made corn or flour tortillas such as green chile pork featuring pork carnitas, green chiles and cotija cheese; MoFaux made with plant-based, cowboy-style “Beyond Beef,” and the Trailer Park with fried chicken, green chiles, lettuce, pico de gallo and cheddar jack cheese, all inspired by Torchy’s beginnings in an Austin food trailer.
  • Breakfast tacos are served all day, with options such as The Wrangler made with cage-free eggs, smoked beef brisket, potato, cheese and tomatillo sauce; Migas made with cage-free eggs, corn tortilla strips, green chiles, avocado, pico de gallo and cheese; and more
  • Torchy’s Taco of the Month is an ever-changing promotion to keep Torchy’s fans guessing. A portion of the proceeds from Taco of the Month benefit the restaurant’s charitable partners including the Make-a-Wish Foundation, MD Anderson, and Phoenix House

The restaurant will be open from 10 a.m.-10 p.m., Sunday-Thursday and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday- Saturday.

Torchy’s Queen Creek is currently hiring for all restaurant positions including cashiers, bartenders, food runners, prep, grill cooks and dishwashers. Those interested in applying can visit torchystacos.com/careers or stop by the location.
