Titan Solar to close Arizona operations

Titan Solar, a one-time fast-growth solar installer based in Chandler, is closing operations after failing to close on a sale of the company, according to multiple media reports.

The company, founded in 2013, expanded to have operations in 16 states. It had been working with a potential buyer for the past several months but the sale never materialized, according to industry publication PVTech.

The company sent out a notice to employees on June 13 that other talks were unsuccessful, and company leaders ultimately decided to suspend operations.

While the company had experienced fast growth, it came with some challengs. In Nevada, the company's operations and installation has fallen under regulator's eye after more than 100 complaints had been filed with the State Contractors Board, according to KTNV.com in Nevada.
