Three teens arrested after shooting incident in Scottsdale
Posted
Independent Newsmedia
Three of four teenagers are facing charges after they were arrested in connection with a shooting in Scottsdale.
Scottsdale Police Department officers responded to a shots fired call Monday night near 78th Street and Glenrosa Avenue, where a 14-year-old male is suspected of firing a handgun at two victims, police said.
As officers arrived, they located two adult victims who were uninjured.
Four teenagers were also located and detained after they were found hiding in the area, police said.
Investigators determined that the victims and the teens were involved in a verbal argument across the street from one another.
One of the suspects, a 14-year-old male, threatened the victims and then fired two rounds from a handgun at them.
One of the rounds struck an unoccupied parked car in the area.
The teens then fled the area on foot, police said.
Officers recovered the handgun and identified the suspect who fired the rounds.
In all, police arrested a 14-year-old on suspicion of attempted murder and criminal damage and two 15-year-old boys on disorderly conduct charges. A fourth teen was released to a parent and is not facing charges.
