Teckenbrock: Happy to see planned Mesa bicycle routes

Posted

Mesa bicycle lanes and paths are great (“$20M earmarked for Mesa bicycle, walking paths,” on the front page of the October 2021 Mesa Independent).

I ride an average of 25 miles every other day. I live in far east Mesa; I really like the pathways better than the streets. The path along the Loop 202 is real nice; I have been on the extension south of Ellsworth to Hawes, even though it’s not done.

It would be nice to have a path to ride on to get to the Loop 202 path; I’m a bit nervous riding on Baseline, Elliot or Guadalupe to get to the path. Perhaps along the high tension wires, that run between Elliot and Guadalupe? From Meridian going west.

With all the new paths shown on the map in the article on Oct. 1, I’m real happy to see the planned routes, just to be able to continue riding north along the Loop 202 would be awesome.
