Surprise offering pickleball classes

Surprise residents can learn about the growing sport of pickleball with new classes the city is offering.
The Surprise Parks and Recreation Department is offering four-week beginner and intermediate classes each month at the Surprise Pickleball Courts in the Surprise Community Park.
Pickleball 101 (for beginners) and 202 (for intermediates) are offered in the morning and evenings with new sessions beginning each month.
The 101 class covers basic techniques and rules of the game. The 202 class focuses on improved shot selection, minimizing unforced errors and overall game strategy.
The cost for each four-week session is $30.
