“Everything Belongs to the Sun” exhibition will be displayed at Royse Contemporary, through July 4, showcasing the last painting collection of Daniel Shepherd.
Located in the Scottsdale Arts District at 7077 E. Main St., Suite 6 in Scottsdale, new limited summer hours for Royse Contemporary are 6-9 p.m. on Thursday and 12-4 p.m. on Saturday, according to a press release, adding private appointments are always available.
Royse Contemporary will present “Everything Belongs to the Sun,” by Shepherd who is a self-taught artist based in Phoenix, the release said, detailing his vibrant abstract paintings and vintage collages.
The release said his work is included in private collections around the world and he has exhibited extensively throughout Arizona and California. His work has been featured in numerous publications online and in print.
Shepherd has created a collection of minimal abstract paintings, using color described to engage the viewers senses, stated curator Nicole Royse, who wanted to “create a vibrant colorful promise of hope and tranquility,” in what can be considered a “new beginning” in a different world.
The artist is represented by Royse Contemporary, the release added.
