Chandler’s Golden Neighbors program will host an outreach event at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, at the Downtown Public Library, 22 S. Delaware St., Copper Room, according to a news release from the city of Chandler.

During the free event, city staff from neighborhood programs and Chandler Public Library, along with the Salvation Army Chandler Corps, will present a variety of available programs and services offered to senior residents, according to the city.

Attendees also will have the opportunity to sign up as a participant for the Salvation Army’s new Silver Bell program. This community giving program matches Chandler seniors (age 55 and up) with sponsors to fulfill their Christmas wish lists. For additional information to become a sponsor for the Salvation Army’s Silver Bell program, contact 480-963-2041 or email Lt. Jeff Williams at jeff.williams@usw.salvationarmy.org.

A light breakfast will be provided. Interested attendees may RSVP to 480-782-4362. Attendees (one per household) will receive a free goodie bag filled with paper products (toilet paper and paper towels).
