Chandler’s Golden Neighbors program will host an outreach event at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, at the Downtown Public Library, 22 S. Delaware St., Copper Room, according to a news release from the city of Chandler.
During the free event, city staff from neighborhood programs and Chandler Public Library, along with the Salvation Army Chandler Corps, will present a variety of available programs and services offered to senior residents, according to the city.
Attendees also will have the opportunity to sign up as a participant for the Salvation Army’s new Silver Bell program. This community giving program matches Chandler seniors (age 55 and up) with sponsors to fulfill their Christmas wish lists. A light breakfast will be provided. Interested attendees may RSVP to 480-782-4362. Attendees (one per household) will receive a free goodie bag filled with paper products (toilet paper and paper towels).
