Recruitment opens for Queen Creek’s first chief of police

The Town of Queen Creek is seeking a qualified, well-rounded individual who has executive experience with all aspects of modern and municipal policing to serve as the community’s first chief of police.
The starting salary is to be market competitive, depending on experience and qualifications of the candidate selected, and will be in the range of $170,000 to $190,000 annually. The full salary range for this position is up to $196,273 annually, according to the town's website.
The chief will have the unique opportunity to help build a municipal police department in a growing, innovative and dynamic community, according to a release.
Important dates include:
First round of interviews are scheduled to take place June 9-10.
Second round of interviews for finalists, along with community forums, are scheduled to take place the week of June 15.
At the March 18 meeting, the Queen Creek Town Council approved establishing a municipal police department. The decision followed a comprehensive police study and extensive public outreach.
