Question of the Day: Should Maricopa County officials obey Arizona Senate election audit subpoenas?

Posted

As was reported at YourValley.net, Attorney General Mark Brnovich issued a decision regarding Maricopa County’s refusal to hand over routers, passwords and other items the Senate says it needs to complete the unprecedented partisan review of the 2020 presidential election in Arizona.

Brnovich said today that the county's refusal violates state law; if the courts disagree, the county could lose its share of some state-directed funding.

Question: Should Maricopa County officials comply with Senate subpoenas, which they say would compromise security, public safety and privacy?

Why or why not?
