Meeting slated for Aug. 4

Representatives from the two private developers of the area to be annexed by the city of Apache Junction will field questions at a public information session at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, at the Apache Junction Multi-Generational Center.

Developers D.R. Horton and Brookfield Properties were the winning bidders of 2,783 acres of state land just south of the Apache Junction city limits auctioned by the state in 2020. The developers have proposed a master-planned community for the 4-square-mile parcel, according to a release.

All are invited to see initial plans for the development at the public information session in the multi-purpose room at the Multi-Generational Center, 1035 N. Idaho Road.
