Posted
The Peoria Police Department said it is aware of and looking into two alleged incidents that occurred in the north part of the city.
In a news release, Peoria police said there are allegations that a male in a white Jeep acted suspiciously toward two juveniles, in two separate incidents.
"There are currently active conversations and speculation about these incidents on several social media sites," Peoria police stated. "While sharing information between neighbors and on social media is an important form of communication, please remember the only official information about crimes or incidents occurring in Peoria will be provided by the Police Department. Important information will be shared with the media and directly to residents through our city’s social media channels. The Peoria Police Department has a long-standing reputation and commitment to providing important information to our community in a timely manner."
The incidents remain under investigation and detectives are following up.
