Police extradite 2 suspects from Las Vegas for Scottsdale crime
Posted
The Scottsdale Police Department has made two arrests in a Dec. 8, 2020, deadly shooting of 53-year-old Andrea Marina Garcia, officials say.
Just after 2 p.m. on Dec. 8, 2020, officers responded to a residence at 13070 N. 90th Place in reference to the shooting death of a female victim, officials say.
“To maintain the integrity of the investigation we were not able to provide the name of the female at the time of our initial statements,” Scottsdale PD Spokesman Kevin Watts said in a press release. “We can now share the victim in this homicide is 53-year-old Andrea Marina Garcia.”
According to Mr. Watts, detectives worked tirelessly to bring those responsible for this murder to justice. The investigation, Mr. Watts says, led detectives to Las Vegas, Nevada, where they identified two suspects.
Adrian Arthur Espinosa, 30, and Jose Antonio Beltran, 30, were arrested in Last Vegas in mid-December and have now been extradited to Arizona.
Both suspects are in custody on numerous felony charges including first degree murder, Mr. Watts said.
