The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for overnight intermittent closures lasting up to 15 minutes along Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway between Gilbert and Greenfield roads in the Mesa area from 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, to 6 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, for overhead power line work.

The westbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Val Vista Drive will also be closed.

For a detour, consider alternate routes including McDowell Road, according to a release.

Drivers should expect slowing and stopped traffic during the overnight restrictions. Stay alert and be prepared for delays. Watch for workers and equipment in all work zones.

Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors.
