Peoria Walmart receives empty bomb threat

The Walmart on 79th and Peoria avenues experienced a bomb threat, but after investigation, no evidence of a bomb was found, police said.

The police received a call regarding the threat around 6 p.m. June 25.

Peoria Police Department spokesman Brandon Sheffert said Walmart evacuated the building before police arrived. Police then investigated the scene with no bomb found, and nobody hurt, he said.
