Peoria High School will hold a drive-thru flag drive from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 14, 11200 N. 83rd Avenue.

This event is being held to help collect unserviceable United States or Arizona flags so they can be disposed of properly.

Peoria High School’s Air Force Junior ROTC and the Peoria Chamber of Commerce, Military Affairs Committee are collaborating on this patriotic flag drop-off as a part of the committee’s Community Flag Project. This project will allow first responders and city officials to replace any unserviceable flag they see in the community with a new one.

The Military Affairs Committee will also be collecting United States flags in good condition as well as monetary donations.

Individuals can drive-thru the main school parking lot on the north side of campus to drop off a flag or to make a donation. Both will be used toward the purchase of new flags to distribute within the community. Requirements are that all flags being donated must be made in the United States and must be three feet by five feet in size.
