Motorcyclist killed in collision near Litchfield Park

A man is dead after crashing his motorcycle near Litchfield Park.

The collision occurred around 1 a.m. Thursday near Dysart Road and Rose Lane.

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to the scene, discovering an adult male who was pronounced dead.

MCSO said the man was traveling northbound on Dysart when his motorcycle struck a tire rim, causing him lose control and crash.

MCSO's Vehicular Crimes Unit responded to the scene and is investigating.

The motorcyclist has not been identified.

The roadway was closed until around 6 a.m., when the Maricopa County Department of Transportation tweeted the reopening.
