A man is facing several charges after bringing multiple women to a home in the New River area and allegedly sexually assaulted them.

Robert Bart Incorvaia, 51, was booked into jail on multiple counts of sexual assault and kidnapping, according to court documents.

Between March 24 and July 28, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office received multiple reports of women claiming to have been the victims of sexual and physical assault. According to MCSO, the victims range in age and share common factors of unstable housing, mental illness and limited resources.

Each alleged victim reported being picked up near 19th and Dunlap avenues by a white male in a reddish-copper colored Hummer. The victims said they were lured by the suspect into his vehicle and then to his home in the New River area, by offers of shelter, resources and the opportunity to shower.

MCSO spoke to four of the victims, including one in late June. She was found near the alleged suspect’s home, and she reported the suspect told her she was going to be his sex slave and never walk again, records state. However, after she was allegedly assaulted, the suspect returned her to the area of 27th and Northern avenues.

On July 28, MCSO learned of another sexual assault when responding to a home in New River, where an alleged victim went to after being sexually assaulted, records state. She said she was able to get away while the suspect was driving her in his vehicle.

On July 31, the suspect was arrested near 35th Avenue and Thunderbird Road. He allegedly admitted to picking up different women each day to have sex with him, records state. He claimed the women received drugs from him in exchange for sex. Further, he stated that he would explain to the women that he would slap them lightly but not hard enough to cause injuries. He denied ever hitting the women or causing marks.

MCSO said the suspect would refer to himself as "Rob the Rapist."

"Our next steps, in addition to what's going on... we will be utilizing deputies as well as Posse members to go into that particular area of the community to pass out information so that we can solicit additional information to acquire as much evidence as possible to protect these victims and make sure that our prosecution is thorough," Sheriff Paul Penzone said at a news conference Thursday, Aug. 6.  "Thankfully, we have a lot of dedicated members of the organization as well as the posse members who recognize the severity of when you have a predator such as this who is targeting a portion of the population that is already suffering in many ways."

While investigating these cases, and notifying partner agencies, MCSO determined there were other victims and unsolved cases describing similar circumstances and suspect description. MCSO is working with Phoenix and Glendale police to determine other potential unknown and unsolved cases.

On Friday, Phoenix police said they have connected the suspect to three other cases in their jurisdiction over the last three years. They involved two juvenile females and a woman. On Thursday, police arrested the suspect at the Maricopa County jail and transported him to Phoenix police headquarters.

However, police said he was uncooperative. He was then rebooked into jail on 10 counts of sexual assault, six counts of aggravated assault and one count each of kidnapping, assault, and threatening and intimidating.
