By Catherine Miranda, Democratic candidate
As a former senator, I had the skill set to find common ground on controversial issues that faced the state legislature.
I am a strong champion for the education of all children and know the number one teacher of our children are parents.
I advocate for education because I believe in the whole child, which requires consistent parent involvement and community. Community is the new teacher!
As a proud Democrat, we need to bring a nonpartisan temperament to the legislative process. The issues I’ve seen coming through the Legislature have had negative impacts on families.
If our families aren’t striving and having the means to contribute in society, our economy and prosperity; but most of all, our children suffer.
Editor’s note: Democrat Catherine Miranda is a candidate for the Arizona Senate representing Legislative District 11 in the August Primary election.
