Mesa Historical Museum book fair in December

The Mesa Historical Museum, 2345 N. Horne, is holding a fundraising book fair 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Dec. 5 and 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Dec. 6, with all books half-price on Sunday.

“We have over 10,000 books, which will average between $1 and $2, with a table of rare and unusual books priced separately. This event will take up the entire outdoor grounds of the museum. We have volunteers working daily to sort all of the donated books for this huge upcoming sale event,” according to a release.

Due to COVID-19 closures, the Mesa Historical Museum has had to find creative ways to raise funds.

The museum is trying to open its remaining two exhibit rooms but funding has fallen short this year. The sales of these books will help the museum enhance its exhibits and its programming, the release states.
