Meet Your Peoria Business: Raising Tactical Daughters

Posted

Your Name: Kevin Coles

Business Name: Raising Tactical Daughters

Town/Neighborhood: I am the founder and executive director. We are in Peoria, however we service the entire country.

What I do: We train women and young girls situational awareness, conflict de-escalation and non lethal self defense.

Changes I’d like to see in this area: All citizens work together in order to keep each other safe. If you see something, then say something.

What am I promoting: We are a women’s safety nonprofit organization focused on our young women and girls, in order to keep them safe. With our training, our goal is to decrease domestic violence and human sex trafficking.

When and why I started my business/employment here: I started RTD after the birth of my daughter. Knowing raising a girl would be different than raising a boy, I wanted to do my absolute best in raising her properly and keeping her as safe as I possibly could. With our foundation not only can I keep her safe, but we can keep all women safe.

My advice to today’s youth: Always be aware and work on being less distracted while in public. Know your surroundings and always have a plan.
