Lutes: Arizona Winter Visitors Association ceases operations

Posted

It’s a sad day for the Arizona Winter Visitors Association. After 28 years we have shut it down because of the virus.

We can’t operate with no income; as of Jan. 1 we have not received a dime.

The businesses can’t afford to pay us as they don’t have money to pay for ads, etc.

We also have received no memberships in the mail.

The phone is disconnected and Del is cleaning out storage as we can’t afford to pay it. Office is down.

Thank you so much to Christina for everything.

Thank you to all our businesses that have been with us so long.

Thank you to all our volunteers for all your work over the years.

I understand lots of people aren’t coming down. Also received a call and don’t know if Canada will let them come down.

The AWVA Board had a conference call and agreed on this. My heart is breaking, but it must be done.
