Discussion on litigation filed in U.S. Federal District Court is the sole topic of the Apache Junction City Council’s June 6 closed-door executive session.
The council is to discuss with outside legal counsel, the city’s insurance carrier and the city attorney the following litigation Mehmood “Mo” Mohiuddin v. Stern, et als., U.S. Federal District Court Docket No. CV-22-00038-DGC.
The City Council is to meet in executive session, which is not open to the public, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, in the City Council Conference Room, 300 E. Superstition Blvd.
State law allows the meetings per Arizona Revised Statutes 38-431.03, which states, in part, that upon a public majority vote of the members constituting a quorum, a public body may hold an executive session. It goes on to list seven subsections detailing the types of meetings that may be held, according to azleg.gov.
