The Tempe Community Council’s Threadz teen closet is holding a hoodie drive from now until Dec. 3 to help clothe the area’s youth.
Tempe residents are being encouraged to donate new or gently-used hoodies in adult sizes, either medium or large. Neutral colors are preferred. The nonprofit said hoodies are the most requested item at Threadz, which offers clothes for teens in need.
Threadz is a free resource for families at Tempe High School and Marcos de Niza high school.
Drop-off locations are available throughout the city, including at Tempe Elementary School District Office, Tempe Union High School District Office, the Tempe Public Library, the Tempe Family YMCA and Tempe Fire Station #3, located on McClintock Drive. Cash donations will also be accepted online at https://www.tempecommunitycouncil.org/ threadz/.
Lindsay is a Phoenix native and is thrilled to be reporting in her hometown.
After spending several years in advertising after college, she switched gears and graduated with her master’s degree in journalism at Arizona State University in 2019.
When she’s not writing, you can usually find her reading a book or playing with her family’s dogs.
