Ground Floor starts felting class in Surprise

A beginning felting class with Julie Kay will be from 10:30 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 at Ground Floor Artists, 13343 W, Foxfire Drive, Suite 3.

Those who are intereted in learning to make charming little wool needle-felted items, this is a perfect introductory class.

Participants will learn how to do wet-felting as they create an acorn in the colors of their choice.

Cost for the class is $50 and includes all supplies. The supplies are: wool roving, felting needles, a felting pad, felt for leaves, glue, scissors and wire.

The class will make a wet-felted acorn and a dry-felted miniature pumpkin.

Learn how to dry-felt while making a miniature pumpkin in the color of choice, complete with a stem, leaves and a curly vine.

This introductory class is designed to familiarize beginners with all the basic techniques needed to learn wool felting and then some.
