Gold Canyon survey results presentation Jan. 13

A presentation of the results from a recent community survey of Gold Canyon will be shared Jan. 13 along with the next steps to integrate these results with a study by the Arizona State University and also used in the development of a strategic plan.
The presentation is 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, at United Methodist Church sanctuary, 6640 S Kings Ranch Road in Gold Canyon, according to a release.
The meeting will be live-streamed with a video that will be available after the event. To view the event, go to gccincaz.org/events.
Participants are asked to bring a non-perishable food donation for the church’s food bank.
The data from more than 1,200 Gold Canyon resident responses from a survey conducted in November 2021 will be shared with the community along with a synopsis of the more than 600 comments provided to various issues presented.
This is the culmination of an eight-month collaborative effort by the Gold Canyon community, Pinal County and ASU in the development of a master’s level course of study that will begin in January 2022 by the university. The final class project will be an overall land use plan for the area surrounding Gold Canyon to help influence future development and growth.
