Glendon, 83, of Bemidji, MN died Friday, April 26, 2019 at Havenwood Care Center in Bemidji.Glen was born May 3, 1935, in Tripoli, WI. He married Marlene Mary Hegland on December 15, 1956. Glen spent his youth on a farm in Mahnomen, MN. He worked on various road construction projects and then learned how to fly. In 1967, he moved his family to Crookston, MN, to manage the municipal airport where he started a business known as Crookston Flying Service. He built the business through aircraft sales and rentals, flight instruction, crop dusting, aircraft maintenance, and charter flights. He spent his life in the aviation industry describing himself as an "airplane driver," flying throughout the United States and Europe. He also managed to fit in a multitude of other ventures including a car restoration business, a taxi company, plumbing repair, and welding torch sales. During retirement he traveled the southern states, recently wintering in Apache Junction, AZ, until coming home to Minnesota.He is survived by his wife, Marlene Mary Moore; three children: Patrick Glen Moore, Susan Jean Steffen, and Tracy Jill Willi; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Ardella Joy Lind. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Raymond Moore and Nellie Margaret Lucine (Helvey) Moore; his brother, Eugene Dale Moore; and his sister, Gloria Grace Campbell.Private family services and burial will be held at the Aardahl Lutheran Church Cemetery near Bemidji under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji.
