George F. Kroeger Junior

Posted

With great sadness, we announce the passing of George F. Kroeger Junior of Phoenix, Arizona. Born June 18, 2003, he passed away on April 20, 2022, in St Louis, Missouri while visiting John Lee, his maternal grandfather.
We shared many happy memories as a family with George Junior, during his short life despite the challenging circumstances. George Junior attended many grade schools throughout the valley including Christ Church, PCDS, Hopi Elementary School, and St Thomas. He went on to attend Brophy for high school and did not complete his senior year. George Junior attended Camp Kooch-i-ching in International Falls, Minnesota, where he ventured into the tranquil Canadian wilderness by canoe and enjoyed backpacking through the forest with his brother Ashton Kroeger.
As a brother, he shared wonderful, enduring memories with our family. George Junior, Ashton, Sophie, Carter, and Wyatt had many fun-filled family ski trips to Colorado in the winter as well as road trips to the beautiful Colorado mountains during the summer months, escaping the Arizona heat. A favorite experience shared by George Junior, Ashton, and Carter was leaping into the famous “punchbowl” waterfall in Aspen, Colorado where they swam together in the freezing Roaring Fork River after hiking through the majestic Elk mountains. George Junior dreamed of becoming a pharmacist in the future and although his college dreams were not realized, he had many accomplishments during his short life.
George Junior will be greatly missed by his father George Ferris Kroeger, his stepmother Emily Kroeger as well as his brothers Ashton Kroeger, Carter Kroeger, Sophie Kroeger, and Wyatt Kroeger of Paradise Valley, Arizona. While he grappled with mental health struggles and addiction toward the end of his life, he only shared his sadness with those closest to him. Like countless other families, who have shared this experience, we wish he was still with us. His memory will live on in our hearts forever.
George Kroeger Junior is survived by his father George Ferris Kroeger and stepmother Emily Kroeger of Paradise Valley Arizona, his mother Nicole Lee and stepfather Thomas Roberts of Phoenix Arizona, his sister Sophie Eleanor Kroeger, his half-brothers Ashton James Kroeger, Carter Ryan Kroeger, Wyatt Rockwell Kroeger and his stepsiblings the children of Tom Roberts and Jill Roberts; Brittany Boff, Elyse Flint, their respective spouses and children, and Michael Roberts.
He is also survived by his paternal grandparents Hal and Carole Kroeger, and his maternal grandfather John Lee. He is also survived by his paternal Uncle Rocky Kroeger and Aunt Heather Kroeger as well as his cousins Grace Kroeger, Kaelyn Kroeger, and Rocksy Kroeger. Additionally, he is survived by his maternal aunts and uncles, Cindy Lee, Terry, and John Lee, and his maternal cousins Graves, Madeline Lee, and Caroline Lee.
Our Kroeger family shared a beautiful private family viewing and service on Tuesday May 3, 2022 at the Whitney Murphy Funeral Home.
We are incredibly grateful for the community and all our friends support during this incredibly challenging time. In lieu of flowers please send donations to NotMYkid organization.
