Fall is upon us, and with it comes the chance to view Arizona's fall colors in the San Francisco Peaks area.

Arizona Snowbowl offers a prime location for viewing fall colors, where guests can experience brilliant hues of golden colors around the resort and while riding the scenic chairlift.

Snowbowl’s scenic chairlift will be open daily 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 4 to 20 for prime fall colors, weather permitting. Snowbowl’s activities and the Agassiz restaurant will also be open. Buy scenic chairlift tickets in advance for 20% off the window price at bit.ly/2KTVKBV.

Snowbowl’s scenic chairlift takes visitors to the top at 11,500 ft. for incredible expansive views that northern Arizona has to offer – from the red rocks of Sedona to the Grand Canyon. Enjoy breathtaking scenery filled with golden Aspens which create a spectacular contrast against the largest Ponderosa Pine forest in the nation.

Arizona Snowbowl offers a great autumn getaway filled with opportunities for photography, observing wildlife, or just enjoying a peaceful chairlift ride.

Scenic chairlift tickets are $19 for adults Monday through Friday, and $24 Saturday and Sunday. Lift tickets for children ages 6-12 and seniors ages 65 and older are $15 Monday through Friday, and $19 Saturday and Sunday. Children 5 and under ride for FREE. Discounted lift tickets are available online when purchased 24-hours in advance.

Also at Snowbowl, families can experience tubing, the bungee trampoline, family ropes course, treasure panning and more.  Enjoy a round of disc golf or the hiking trails at Snowbowl.  Forest Service interpretive specialists are available at the top of the chairlift to answer questions about the region’s history, geology and its volcanic origins.

Founded in 1938, Arizona Snowbowl is one of the oldest continually operating mountain resorts in the country. Located seven miles north of Flagstaff, Arizona, on the San Francisco Peaks and on the highest mountain in the state (Humphreys Peak at 12,367 feet), Arizona Snowbowl offers 55 trails and 3,000 vertical feet (with 2,300 lift-served vertical feet) on 777 acres with eight lifts, three terrain parks and two mountain lodges.

With exceptional backcountry access and tree skiing in the winter, Snowbowl also offers a world-renowned summer scenic chairlift that provides stunning views of the red rocks in Sedona, the cinder cone volcanic field, and the rim of the Grand Canyon. Additional summer activities include tubing, bungee trampoline, mini ropes course, treasure panning, barrel roll, disc golf, hiking and more.
