Superstition Mountain Museum, 4087 N. Apache Trail (State Route 88) in Apache Junction, is hosting a desert survival class at 9 a.m. Nov. 6.

Join instructor Jean Robert Pelletier, a former Green Beret survival instructor, for important tips about surviving in just about any situation. There is a $30 fee for this course that includes a special survival kit for backpacks and a survival booklet.

Registration is required at the museum gift shop or at superstitionmountainmuseum.org.

“Hiking or camping in the Sonoran Desert is an amazing experience but can turn deadly if you are not prepared,” according to the website. “Learn what John Jay packs in his backpack.”

The class will be held the first Saturday of every month until March 5, 2022.
