Copeland: Says AZ GOP should accept defeat

Posted

In response to the recent article (“County Supervisors still facing threats,” Daily Independent, Feb. 15, 2020), I cannot believe what is going on in our Arizona Senate.

Why are the Republican Senators not cooperating with the County Board of Supervisors to have an independent audit of the Maricopa County voting procedure? It seems they all should be on the same side, not fighting each other.

I applaud Sen. Boyer for voting his conscience, against the Senate subpoena against the Board of Supervisors, who are also largely Republicans. It makes me want to see all Republican senators voted out of office, except Sen. Boyer.

So many Republicans are acting like “sore losers” (just like President Trump), with no proof that this was anything but a “people’s choice” election. Let’s learn to accept defeat.

Right now, I am ashamed to call myself a Republican.
