Advance tickets $30, at the door $35 and students K-12 cost $5.

All of the nonprofit’s revenue goes toward its arts education mission in regional schools, Chuck Cuffaro, Gold Canyon Arts Council’s publicity manager, said in a release.

“Our performing artists provide in-school concerts, workshops and master classes; we donate instruments and guitar lessons provided by our nonprofit partner, Lead Guitar; (and) our nonprofit’s artist members provide in-school visual arts lessons and supplies,” he said.

The following performances will be held at Gold Canyon United Methodist Church, 6640 S. Kings Ranch Road in Gold Canyon:

  • John O’Conor, 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18: This Irish classical pianist, through his concert appearances and critically acclaimed recordings, is a masterful interpreter of the classic and early romantic piano repertoires. His formidable technique, mastery of keyboard color and unique sound has earned him the title “Poet of the Piano,” the release states. The 7 p.m. Nov. 18 public performance ticket includes a lecture/recital and masterclass at noon Nov. 19.
  • Folk Legacy Trio, 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, 2023: This group is made up of former members of The Kingston Trio, The Limelighters and The Diamonds, the release states. With their signature dynamic harmonies, they will take you down Memory Lane with songs from the great ‘50s to ‘70s folk era. These include songs by Peter, Paul, and Mary, The New Christy Minstrels, Gordon Lightfoot, The Chad Mitchell Trio, Simon and Garfunkel, Judy Collins and many others.
  • The Black Market Trust, 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2023: This pop/vocal/instrumental group from Los Angeles combines the songs and sounds of legendary American crooners with the fire and energy of Gypsy Jazz guitarist Django Reinhart. These five world-class musicians have traveled the globe performing on the world’s biggest stages, according to the release.
  • The Fitzgeralds, 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2023: This Canadian family of fiddlers and dancers are Grandmaster Fiddle and Ontario Open Step Dance Champions, the release states. They present an eclectic program of jigs and reels, bluegrass, Celtic and show-stopping Ottawa Valley step dancing. Vocal arrangements, novelty dance routines and friendly banter make this a truly unforgettable musical experience.
  • Black Oak Ensemble, 7 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2023: Praised for their insightful and masterful performances and fierce eloquence, this young trio is one of the most innovative and exciting chamber ensembles on the international stage, presenting exciting programs from Bach to the music of today, the release states.

The Gold Canyon Arts Council’s nonprofit mission is arts education for underserved students in regional schools to which it donates instruments, music and visual arts lessons, and supplies. The art council’s performing artists also provide in-school tutorials, workshops and masterclasses.
