The Arizona Department of Health Services reported the overall number of Buckeye COVID-19 cases at approximately 3,449 on Monday, Aug. 10. That’s an increase of 4.9% over the last week (3,288).

The percentage increase of 4.9 from Aug. 3 to Aug. 10 is decidedly lower than the percentage increase from the week prior, when the Aug. 3 total represented a 12.4% increase from July 27.

Breaking it down by ZIP code, there are 1,987 cases in Buckeye’s 85326 code, which includes areas of Liberty, Goodyear, Hassayampa and Cotton Center. While that represents 93 new cases and an increase of 4.9% since Aug. 3, it is a lower weekly increase compared with the 11.8% jump the week prior.

There are 762 cases in Buckeye’s 85340 code, which includes areas of Litchfield Park, Glendale, Avondale and Goodyear. That number represents a 4% increase in one week.

There are 542 cases in Buckeye’s 85396 code, which includes areas of Surprise. That represents a 7.1% increase since Aug. 3.

There are 153 cases in Buckeye’s 85361, which includes areas of Surprise and Wittmann. That represents three new cases since Aug. 3.

There are “1 to 10” cases in Buckeye’s 85343 code, which includes areas of Palo Verde. That is the same amount as Aug. 3.
