Bornhofen: Asylum protests not about race

Posted

Re: “Asylum seekers in Scottsdale” by Eric Kurland

According to Webster Dictionary, racist: prejudice or discrimination based on race; Illegal: forbidden by law, forbidden by official rules.

As a citizen of the United States of America, which is a nation of laws, we do have the privilege and right to peacefully protest.

It is a duty to protest against illegal activities; such as in this case the illegal immigrants being housed, fed and taken care of in our community before passing them on to another.

They broke the law in the method by which they entered this country.

It was a peacefully protest against for the breaking of laws, not the color of one skin.

I wonder would you pay as much attention and care as much for our legal citizens who are homeless and/or unemployed.

Your quote by Mark Twain: “It is never wrong to do the right thing” however does it make it right to support a wrong thing?
