Arizona Gives Day opens enrollment for nonprofits

Posted

Registration and renrollment is now open for Arizona none-profits interested in participating the annual Arizona Gives Day this year.

Arizona Gives Day is an annual that combines the forces of nonprofits to increase philanthropy in Arizona through online giving at AZGives.org. This online event helps raise awareness about the critical role Arizona nonprofits play in communities and inspires people to give generously.

All participating nonprofits need to enroll at www.AzGives.org before March 5.

“Nonprofits across Arizona are still reeling from the impact of the coronavirus, yet they consistently continued bringing vital services, resources and even entertainment to communities across the state,” said Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits CEO Kristen Merrifield in a press release. “Arizona Gives Day offers an opportunity to show how much nonprofits are appreciated and necessary on so many levels.”

Last year donors generated $6.1 million for nonprofits statewide, the 2021 event. This year's Arizona Gives Day is set for April 6.

By registering, nonprofits also will find:

  • A “roadmap” to guide nonprofits through the registration process.
  • The opportunity to submit support requests online.
  • The ability for organizations to include any matching grant amount and their fundraising goal on their profile page.
  • The opportunity for their biggest fans and donors to create their own fundraising page.
  • More than $1.4 million in incentive prizes has been awarded since 2013.

Local Arizona businesses can help ensure a successful Arizona Gives Day in a number of ways:

Businesses of any size can participate in Arizona Gives Day by creating an Employee Giving Fundraising Page.  Register at www.azgives.org/businesses.

A variety of sponsorship levels are available starting at $2,500 and can be further customized as needed.

The event is presented by FirstBank and hosted by the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits and the Arizona Grantmakers Forum.

“Individuals, businesses and communities rose to the occasion last year to make a dramatic difference for nonprofit agencies doing great work across our state during the pandemic,” said FirstBank Market President Joel Johnson in a press release.
