Arizona at 20,350 deaths of COVID-19


Arizona has added 2,358 cases and 31 deaths of COVID-19 overnight, according to the state Department of Health Services.

As of the morning of Saturday, Oct. 9, the ADHS reports 1,116,419 known positive cases and 20,350 known deaths of the coronavirus.

For most people, the coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks. But for some — especially older adults and people with existing health problems — it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia, and death.
