Arizona has added 1,074 cases and 14 deaths of COVID-19 overnight, according to the state Department of Health Services.

As of the morning of Saturday, May 1, the ADHS reports 863,571 positive cases and 17,338 deaths of the coronavirus.

  • Graham County: 78
  • Greenlee County: 10

  • Maricopa County: 9,876
  • Mohave County: 715
  • Navajo County: 532
  • Pima County: 2,395
  • Pinal County: 872
  • Santa Cruz County: 176
  • Yavapai County: 503
  • Yuma County: 833

For most people, the coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks. But for some — especially older adults and people with existing health problems — it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia, and death.
