The Arizona Department of Health Services reported 52 new weekly coronavirus cases in Goodyear’s 85338 and 85395 ZIP codes over the week ending Friday, May 28, one fewer than the 53 new weekly cases reported last Friday.
That brings the overall tally of cases in Goodyear to 11,670.
The agency said more than 90% of cases were mapped to the address of the patient’s residence:

As of May 25, Maricopa County health officials reported that more than 42% of all county residents and 49%, and 46% of doses administered completed that resident’s COVID-19 vaccine series.
According to the website, 3,359,160 vaccine doses had been administered in Maricopa County. Of those, 1,757,866 were first dose, 1,572,663 were second dose and 28,631 were unknown.
In Goodyear 85395, 61.3.3% of the eligible population had received their first dose and 55.7% had received their second dose.
In Goodyear 85338, 54.5% of the eligible population had received their first dose and 45.1% had received their second dose.
